I learned this week that the Target bakery requires 48 hours to decorate a cake. Most grocery stores require 24 hours and do not have a cake decorator working on Sundays.
I learned that kids do not really care how the cake is decorated. They just want cake.
I learned that spending a weekend with my son will require me to play video games and watch movies about racing, kung fu and superheros.
I learned that boys - no matter what age - do not like to shop.
I learned that even though people will disappoint me that they are most likely doing the best they can.
I learned that saying no to a couple things this week allowed me to be a nicer mommy and wife.
I learned that when I don't blog, you will email me to see how I am doing. Thanks. :)
I learned that when I don't blog or Twitter or Facebook, I get laundry done.

Video games, racing and kung fu...sounds like a weekend at my house!
Target needs 48 hours...really? I love their cakes but haven't had to order one before. I will have to keep that in mind.
Amen to getting things done when you don't blog or Twitter! I have piles waiting RIGHT NOW. Time to get off this old 'puter and putter around the house a little. Have a great day!
I like this random list! No Target Bakery near me, but good to keep in mind.
I play a lot of wii with my son when I'm doing what he wants, it can wear me out. My son doesn't mind shopping as long as it's mostly for him.
I agree about getting things done when you stop blogging and facebook......ugh, a good plan for my day!

Hmmm... Do you really need clean clothes? Doing laundry is overrated really. Blogging and twittering are much more important! :o)

I blog and Facebook between the loads. =) It's my reward for a chore that I have no great love for.
hehe ooh great lessons. Didn't know that about bakerys.. good tip to put in there for the next birthday! I get so much more done when I leave my computer off :-P
This was too cute. I also learned that laundry seems to be a lot less when I'm not blogging.

What a fun list. And so true about boys. And what Target has a bakery, anyway? I've never seen one of those.
Good to know about Target--although ours isn't a Super Target, so we don't have a bakery.
I can do laundry in between reading blogs; it's the other chores that get neglected!
Target makes cakes? I live in the between two Targets and neither makes cakes....so sad.
I have 3 boys and mine do like shopping as long as it includes a legos...
logan must be weird then, lol he likes to shop with mommy especially grocery shopping !
Bj's can do it in 24 hrs, they have great cake.
I dislike laundry more than anything, lol
That's why we are doing muffins for my 2 year old's birthday this Sat!
