I really do not want this to become the blog about pregnancy.
It might, though.
I mean since I'm pregnant and all.
And it seems to be the only thing I can really think about lately.
Morning Sickness.
Let's talk about this a little.
Ick. Ick. Ick.
Did you have it?
I've had it with all three of my pregnancies. My first was really just in the morning. I had certain food aversions but mostly, if I ate in the morning, I could handle the rest of the day.
My second pregnancy proved to be a little different with morning sickness not being reserved to just the morning. I was sick the whole day but especially at night. I had many food aversions but could not stop eating the foods I loved.
This one is worse than both but similar to the second in that it lasts all day, which leads me to think it's another boy. I wonder if the sickness is worse because I am older and more tired. Maybe.
I cannot even touch or eat chicken right now. I crave cheeseburgers like there is not going to be any left tomorrow. Potatoes in any form are a hit. Raspberry and lime sorbets make me happy. Salads. I really could just eat pounds of salad.
Oh, it's lunchtime, isn't it?
I wanted to share something that has provided a TON of relief for me, though. You know, just in case you are feeling the same way or know someone who is.

Morning Sickness Not Reserved To Morning
My friend gave me one. I am telling you about it because if I had known about this and how much better it would make me feel, I would have paid the $135 that it costs. It is designed for motion sickness but really helps with morning sickness, too. Life Saver. That's all I have to say 'bout that.
Okay, I'm off. Remember, it's lunchtime!

Congrats!!! I had it with my girls mostly and it was all day for 3 months...then heartburn. BLEH! When are you do! Hope this stage passes rather quickly for you!
Hang in there!
I was cleaning the attic the other day when I found a shoebox with Izzys baby stuff in it. Funny how that happens w/ #4,everyone else's is in the cedar chest, hers somehow is not..oh well. it is now. anyway I flipped thru her pg journal & I was sick off/on all day too. and chicken was completely off limits, but could have eaten an entire cow every day.seems it lasted the entire time but waxed and waned. still I loved being pg. its just so cool.enjoy this season.
I didn't have any morning sickness with Boo (don't hate me...) but did have a chinese food aversion...it was not pleasant for anyone especially since we lived down the street from a restaurant.
I hope it helps, and that you get past this part VERY fast!
I had horrific all day sickness and what worked for me was keeping packets of instant oatmeal around in my desk drawer as well as bags of cut up lemons.
I never went to a meeting without my lemon bag.
Yeah, real professional, but better than throwing up all over the conference room table.
I was sick with both of mine for the entire first trimester. Yuck! I kept telling myself that being sick meant you had a very healthy pregnancy. Hang in there!! Congrats by the way...I don't know how I missed the announcement!
Sorry, I had very little morning sickness with all three of mine. With #1 I had a little but it ended quickly.
But I totally craved Taco Bell Nachos!
I was so sick when I was pregnant with my twins, so when my next baby came along, and it was just one, I was sure I'd stay feeling good........ha ha ha, I wound up in the hospital with dehydration.......ugh!
Keep drinking and eating what you can...........this too shall pass...........I hope soon.
Try smelling citrus. It worked wonders for me. I would cut an orange and instant relief.
I did not experience morning sickness with the girls. With Griffin, it was a different story. I wasn't sure if it was because he was a boy, or if it was because I was older. Whatever the reason, it sucked!
Congrats, again!!
