My Weekend

As a young couple, we dreamed of a home with lots of trees and a big yard.
Yes, so we could spend entire weekends cleaning up the mess Winter leaves behind!!!! These pictures do not even do justice to the amount of brush and trees we took down. My husband nicknamed me Edward Scissorhands by Saturday mid morning.
But it feels good to clean it up and now comes the fun part. Planting new flowers!
Check out 5 Minutes for Mom and Wordless Wednesday for more great photos. For photos better than mine - DEFINITELY and usually really with no words.
Okay,
no
more
words
starting
right
now.

The thing is, I like the words! I'm always curious about the stories behind the pics.

Looks like you've probably got some sore backs. lol Have fun planting th flowers now.

As a person with tons of trees in my yard as well, I totally feel your pain!

I like the words too. We have been doing this clean up here as well for the last week or so.
My WW is up to, and its not wordless. Hope you can stop by sometime.

I hear you. We loved the trees in our yard too and then about a year after we moved in one of them fell on and into the house. Sometimes I think they are more work and worry than they are worth...

Hi Janel,

The photo on my blog is of some random flowering bush at the Los Angeles Zoo.

ACK. That *almost* makes me glad for a new development with no trees. ALMOST. B/c I really do miss our big trees at the old houe.
