Linked Up

Oh, look - Jo-Lynne has put away my Blog Christmas decorations. Now if only I had a little elf to do that in my own home. Those are my plans for today, but wanted to leave you with a couple links.

So, Happy Weekend before the craziness of the new year begins again. Souper Saturday will be back next week - get your favorite soup recipe ready!!!

A Generous Wife - a couple friends introduced me to this site. It is nice to have reminders of how to do special things for my hubby. I signed up for a daily email to remind me. What a great new year's resolution to have - take better care of Hubby.

Want to start a running program this year and need some accountability? Check out what these ladies are doing. I am very close to joining them - as soon as I get rid of all the cookies in my house. :) Running Wild

Love this New Year's post by Lysa TerKeurst - Unsettled - it is just so true, so important. So real. I just love that about Lysa.

I know we are finished with Christmas, but I think this is just precious and oh so very witty that my friend wrote at Fill My Cup - Dear Santa

We are taking down decorations today, too. Amy Carroll wrote earlier in the week about how the tree is so beautiful before Christmas but looks so forlorn afterward. I agree.

I have a tendency to get the post-holiday blues sometimes and looking at the decorations after Christmas depresses me somehow. Does that happen to anyone else?

It totally depresses me too. I really need the house to be back in order before I can get back to life in January.

It's like a new beginning!

Thanks for the great links! I love the idea of Running Wild.

And nothing makes me happier than taking all of the Christmas stuff down and starting fresh!

I signed up for the Generous Wife tips. I'm sure Steve will thank you for the link:)
Unfortunately, my tree is still up, too. It's got to come down tomorrow!
To answer your questions: Yes, Norm L. gave Griffin his first haircut... he cried the entire time.
All the hospital/cast photos were from 1 incident. Griffin jumped off the bottom of a slide & fell & broke his elbow. He had to have pins:(

Happy New Year!! I hope you have all had a great start this year! :) I just saw your post, and I needed to quickly tell everyone that although I wish I had, I didn't write the Dear Santa post myself! I'm so sorry if that is what anyone thought - I have NO idea who wrote it. I just edited the post to clarify that. I do think that moms will get a chuckle from it nonetheless! And if anyone knows who the author is, please let me know so I can give her credit! Thanks!!!
