Flowers Make Me Happy

I just realized that I haven't shown many photos of my garden this year. We have had so much rain and then extreme heat that it's been a weird year for my for my plants. I've enjoyed the garden in my back yard so much. The front? Not so much. The early spring brought amazing blooms but the summer has been hard on it since then. I just don't know if it's the soil or the way the sun hits the yard or the stars being aligned just so - whatever, it's a bit frustrating.

Usually, my container plants are rocking by this time, too but this year they have been very sickly looking. Like I said, weird year for my plants.

Anyway, these are a few of what is working - let's keep our focus there, eh?

"Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive, Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive" la la la....humming....

Mother Nature's been wreaking havoc on my flowers this year, too...

Beautiful! I had only two container pots this year, and I managed to kill them both!

What a beautiful garden! We just bought our first home, and I'm working on fixing up our front garden... such a chore! But I'm thinking it will come out really nice and all be worth it in the end.

Visiting from SITS! I love your blog and look forward to reading more from you. Consider yourself "followed!"

Your garden looks beautiful! I have to say that your front yard looks really nice as well. When I stopped by a couple of weeks ago, I was wishing my front yard looked as good as yours! Don't sell yourself short. It might not be as colorful as you would like, but it still looks beautiful. :)

How very pretty. I particularly like the lillies with the gazing globe in the bed. Very pretty!

I will happily come and give you help in your garden, K - I love doing it that much!

I wish sometimes I had a smaller yard to take care of. I feel like I could put a lot more effort into a smaller space. Sometimes, I feel overwhelmed by the amount of yard and gardening to do that I can't enjoy it.

Beautiful flowers! I have a black thumb, so I'm always impressed by what others can grow.
