Okay, I'm Ready Now

Still here. Pregnant. Very pregnant.

And Hot.

It's pretty much on record as one of the hottest Summer's North Carolina has had in years. Of course it is. As if being preggars in July is not hard enough.

I know, I sound as if I'm complaining. Okay, I am complaining. It seems to have become a favorite pastime lately. I'm tired. I'm hot. I can't bend over. I can't pick anything heavy up. I get winded easily.  I am so swollen.

I really don't like being the complaining type.  Normally, even if I'm feeling bad and someone asks how I am, I almost always answer with a positive answer.    Why spread negative vibes?  Only a good friend, Hubby or my mom may know the true answer.

Not lately.   If you ask, you might hear about how my hips fall asleep every night or how none of my clothes fit.

That's the thing about me and pregnancy.
It's a blessing to be sure.  All I have to do is get a hug from my Bubby first thing this morning to know what an amazing gift having a child is.

Or feel this one kicking up a storm right now.  He is an active little guy!

Or remember my past miscarriages.

But my personality does take a turn when I'm pregnant.  And not for the best!  I can't wait to feel more like myself.

I'm ready now.

The baby's room is ready to go.  My house is a big mess - just right for a third child.  :)

So, to keep this on a positive note - We are all waiting with great anticipation for his arrival!

**Funny update to this post just a few hours later**
I sat down to have some quiet time and read today's devotion out of my favorite little devotion book.

The topic?
Giving Thanks in ALL circumstances.

I guess that means a pregnancy in July, too.
Thankful, I am to my all-knowing God.

One more week girl! I liked your idea of waiting until after the lunch at our new building. :). You've been such a big part of the Holly Springs campus, I'd hate for you to miss it. I can't wait to meet the little guy! Hang in there!

One part of life is being thankful, and yet uncomfortable at the same time, which is certainly the reality in the last stages of a pregnancy.
You are blessed, and you area blessing.......I'm far away and I'm so happy to know you.

I understand how you feel. Its not easy to be pregnant, You are easy to get angry. you feel always hot and feel always hungry. But its nice to hear that there is a baby living in your tummy.

Well that answers that. :-)

I never made it past 38 weeks. I can't imagine being so pregnant at this time of year. Mine all came in the fall/winter months.

Praying for you to be able to focus on the "end result" in spite of such heat! My 2nd was born in July (due date was June 16... born July 5!) & we lived in the Chicago suburbs. It was over 100 degrees 5 days in a row, including the day he was born! Stay inside, feet propped UP, drink plenty of fluids & get plenty of rest (your last chance for a while... LOL!) Though the last stage of waiting is uncomfortable & seems to last forever, soon you will have that precious little guy in your loving arms! Can't wait to hear, "He's here!"

Praying for you these last few days. Stay in doors and cool. Rest, get lots of rest. Little guy will be here soon enough and you'll forget all about this (ok, so you really don't forget, but you'll have the little man to hug on and kiss - So that makes it all worth it)
